Step One: Heal and Transform

Do you know anyone these days 100% happy about the way their body looks naked?

What is it about us?  Doesn’t that make you feel….  kind of not so good about the state of our being?

Maybe you go through stages of guilt, remorse, pause, repeat, every time you enjoy a night out.  I know,  It’s not just women that feel this way.

Check this out.  Ok, excuse the source…  I don’t usually go for the dating sites as I am very married (haha), but the message is clear.  Are we wasting our time feeling bad about ourselves?

I am talking to YOU.  You work out, you enjoy good food.  You might have an extra few pounds on your frame and you HATE it.  You check yourself out in that full length mirror insessantly, eat nothing for hours just so you can have bread with your meal and cake after dinner.  You count calories and grams of whatever you’re fearful of and stay on that indoor stair-master for extra long.

This is not only such a waste of time but bad for us.  You know it is.  And we have the science to back it up.

I want to tell you.  I have been there.  It ain’t pretty.  I’m still not exactly CRAZY happy about the way I look.   But hey,  it’s a work in process!  I am okay with that….  But something has changed since I began my study of holistic nutrition and I want to share it.  The change is this….  We have the power to transform the way we perceive ourselves.  Each and every negative thought about ourselves is like a scar on the insides of our bodies. Too many of these scars cause nasty inflammation and wind up causing disease anywhere in the body.

I want to inspire you all to take a look at yourself outside of the judgement call room.  Aren’t you over looking at scales, counting calories, endless dieting and feeling like crap about yourself?  This behavior is un-healthy and stressful!

Instead, I propose a plan to work on health from the inside out, beginning with looking at the hidden internal stressors that the body goes through.  This works!  I am telling you right now, that when the focus is OFF your thighs and ass and on the health “inside” your body, great things start to happen.  You actually DO start noticing your body look more the way you like it to, not to mention feel a heck of a lot better.

In case you are wondering….  Below is a partial list of some common hidden stressors that can over time rev up your body’s hormonal response.  Leaving it alone only adds fuel to the fire and systemic inflammation.  Over time this can lead to chronic disease in the body.

  • wrong foods for your metabolic type
  • food sensitivities and intolerances
  • maldigestion and malabsorption
  • bacteria, viruses, fungi overgrowth
  • environmental toxicity/poor detoxification
  • mental, emotional and physical trauma
