“…There’s a lot of money in the Western diet. The more you process any food, the more profitable it becomes. The healthcare industry makes more money treating chronic diseases (which account for three quarters of the $2 trillion plus we spend each year on health care in this country) than preventing them.”
― Michael PollanFood Rules: An Eater’s Manual

With the increasing availability of inexpensive, processed foods with infinite shelf lives flooding the supermarket, consumers are seeking an alternative to support a healthier way of living.  More and more shoppers are reading labels and choosing food items that are less refined, minimally processed and organic.  It can be quite a challenging task to figure out creative recipes and cooking techniques when switching from a processed diet or when deciding to go more natural.  There is also a lot of confusion as “what” healthy food really is.  Vegetarian, Vegan, and Raw, to name a few are NOT guarantees of “healthy,” regardless of what you have heard.  It’s much deeper than that.

Caterpillar Fitness cooking classes are designed to help you understand how to cook using a variety of organic whole foods including vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, meats, fish and fowl, legumes, grains, sea vegetables, high quality fats and natural sweeteners.

Classes are hands-on and geared towards practical and fun.
